"No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon". Matt 6:24. Jesus himself said it, you cannot serve two masters, you cannot serve God and money. There is nothing sinful about having money, the problem is how did you get the money, was it legitimate, was it stolen? A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things. Eccl 10:19. Yes we need money to meet our daily needs, and things are getting more and more expensive around the world. So money is important, however it should not rule the life of a true child of God. We are told in Matt 6:20, "But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal". 1 Tim 6:10, "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows". Money is necessary but don't die in pursuit of money. Do not sell your soul to satan because you want money. Do not worship money. Worship God and He will supply all your needs. Phil 4:19. Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and every other thing shall be added to you. Matt 6:33. PRAYER: I pray that our almighty God will straighten you as you strive to obey His word in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
